At the begining of the challenge I didn't think I would have enough time to complete the challenge. But it worked out great. Every once in a while i got out of my seat and played in my backyard. The governers challenge has been such a great opertunity to run, play, and live a long healthier life. My mother and my father think that the governer's challenge is truly inspiring to everyone in California. This is probably the most smartest things in the world. Because there are some kids who's lives are changed big time becasue of this wonderful idea. This is a notion sweeping the nation. This expierince has also helped my dog. my dog is very old and not in the best shape in the world. Well the vet said that my dog will only live one or two years longer. When I heard this news i was devastated. I started to cry. But then I heard about this great thing called the governor's challenge. Then to start this i started running around in my back yard. My dog would chase me. Then after a while i noticed my dog was loosing weight! I was so glad. We went back to the vet and he told me thay Sparky, my dog, will live 3 or four more years. When I was told this I was jumping with glee. Then I started to take my dog on walks. I was so proud of myself. Thank you so much governer and your challenge!

Good Morning; I am having fun staying active. It isn't that hard for me, because Me and my sister both play flag football right now. My dad is our coach, so we spend alot of time on the field. My mom and dad also play softball, so we get to run around when they have practice too. I can't wait to go snowboarding at Mammoth with my pass. We have never been there! James

I'm writing to let you know how much I enjoyed completing the Governor's Challenge. In the beginning I thought, "what more can I do that I'm not already doing".After I began the challenge I realized it took more than just exercising, it took commitment & effort. I challenged myself to stay active. It was harder than I thought.

I hated working out and thought 30 minutes of it was extremely difficult! Now that 30 minutes is a piece of cake! My stomach is smaller and my legs are more toned :)
